#50Styles50States with Old Navy – My South Dakota Style

Where we choose to live, work and play certainly has an effect on the things we buy. For me, the things I love most about living in Sioux Falls, South Dakota are reflected in what I wear. I gravitate toward classic, timeless pieces that are also comfortable and versatile. For today’s post, I’m teaming up with Old Navy to share how my city and state influence my personal style choices for their #50Styles50States campaign.

South Dakota is full of timeless and natural wonders. From the Badlands to Falls Park, the Mount Rushmore State is home to so many beautiful, classic sights. As a SoDak resident, my style reflects my lifestyle here in America’s Heartland. I gravitate toward earth tones and natural color combinations. I absolutely love the color of this Old Navy tank and this cardigan is a must for completing the look. The temps in the Midwest fluctuate throughout the day so layers and breathable clothing choices are also key.

I was drawn to these adorable Old Navy jeans because of the patch detail. I am able to easily take them from a laid back afternoon at Falls Park in downtown Sioux Falls to an evening wandering the plains. This pair of denim is so unique but is still easy to pair with a multitude of tops. This striped tunic is easy to throw on with just about anything but I really love tucking it into these boyfriend jeans. Outfits that are this comfortable make it easy to keep up with my family… and if you know South Dakota and the people who live here, we’re all about family. This look shows my South Dakotan roots through and through. It’s an All-American outfit that anyone can pull off.

Perhaps the best part about all of these pieces is that they can be styled so many different ways… (including this insanely adorable hat)! Living in South Dakota has certainly made me appreciate versatile pieces that can be worn just about anywhere. I get to live the city lifestyle in my home of Sioux Falls… but we’re never too far from the prairie.
