I was not one of those girls that grew up dreaming about her wedding. And as the oldest, I think I feel pretty confident in saying that neither of my sisters dreamed about their wedding day either. But I can also confidently say that if any of us had dreamed about my sister Connor’s wedding day, she went above anything we could have dreamed of.
I absolutely loved everything about my own wedding day, but being a part of my sister’s nuptials was a completely different and wonderful experience. The entire day was so incredibly beautiful and filled with love. To be completely honest, I was emotional the entire weekend. I think I cried more times than anyone could count. I loved everything about her day.
The stunning couple put so much thought into every last detail and it showed. I’m lucky in that she has graciously allowed me to share some of the photos from her wedding day because it was so stinkin’ Pinterest worthy I couldn’t even stand it. I’ll take you through the day to give you a glimpse at all of the stunning moments.
Shout out to Talaria Flats for outfitting all of the bridesmaids in these AMAZING flats as we got ready and for after the ceremony! While wearing heels is fun… these bad boys saved our little tootsies as we danced the night away. Also note: I now store these in my car for emergency situations (I’m obsessed!)
Connor had a color scheme in mind for the entire day and of course that included the wedding party. The bridesmaids all chose dresses within the color scheme but everyone was also conscious of colors that were flattering for each skin tone and each body type. I don’t think I’ve seen it done better than what we pulled together for this event. These ladies were/are stunners.
A really personal touch on the day was in the florals. Our lovely mother personally made all of the wedding party’s floral arrangements. The woman has talent upon talent. Way to go, mama.
The signs you see were made by Connor and her handsome hubby. Now that I know they can pull this kind of stuff off I think I should put them to work on projects for my house. 😉 The cupcake tier was also made by the couple.
A family friend made this incredible ‘cheers’ sign but… you guys… the bride and groom made these bars! That’s right. They made two full sized bars. And, yes, they kept them for future entertaining purposes at their home. 😉
I had to share this final photo because it truly sums up my feelings about the day; being this girl’s matron of honor was truly an honor. But more importantly, this photo sums up my feelings about my sister and best friend. This girl has been by my side, and I by hers, through thick and thin. I’m so proud of the woman you have become and I’m so proud of the man you chose. I’ll hold on tight forever, sis. You’re my person. I love you.

Thank you for giving such a personal account of the day and all the plans. I am Garrett’s great aunt who could not attend and with a heavy heart because I could not. This is beautiful and I am so happy to have Connor in our family and the link she is to such a loving family of her own. She is blessed to have you as her sister and friend who so lovingly did this tribute to the perfect wedding.
