Our kitchen remodel project is officially underway! The cabinetry update is the first step in the process and we’re so excited to have that piece of the puzzle in the works! But what I’m most looking forward to at this point in the project is what I consider to be the final showstopper. We’re so excited to partner with Kohler to put the icing on the cake as we implement their beautiful sink and faucet designs into our kitchen renovation.
I truly believe that without the right sink and faucet, the whole kitchen design can fall flat. The difference between a good and a jaw-dropping design: the details that pull it all together. That’s where Kohler shines.
Honestly, I was convinced we weren’t going to be able to achieve a farmhouse apron sink in our kitchen at the beginning of this journey. It seemed impossible… unless we were going to install brand new custom cabinets, which we knew we weren’t interested in.
Well Kohler has thought of it all. Not only do they offer a short apron option to fit a variety of cabinet types, but they’ve also created a self-trimming option that hides the cut made in your existing cabinet when installing the new sink! The sink itself wraps around the cut in the cabinet to finish off the look.
So long story short: thanks to Kohler’s killer design execution… we’re getting our dream sink to cap off our dream kitchen!
But what’s a gorgeous sink without a perfectly paired faucet?! Kohler’s reputation for timeless and unmatched-quality products is undeniable. All of their faucet options are so beautifully and thoughtfully crafted with both design and functionality in mind. With so many styles available, they have something for every kitchen, bathroom and beyond.
The hardest part in choosing a faucet for our kitchen was narrowing the search! We knew we wanted to compliment the apron sink but we needed to balance the farmhouse side of the design. We chose a more modern look with the HiRise with gooseneck spout in the brushed stainless finish with an additional sidespray for easy cleaning.
All of the Kohler finishes are incredible which made the decision even more challenging! But, ultimately, we chose the brushed stainless finish because we wanted to avoid a ‘matchy matchy’ feel with the cabinet hardware we have planned.
Even if a modern farmhouse isn’t your thing, Kohler has such a wonderful variety of options for everyone.
By being able to shop the entire design with Lisa from Kohler at the Ferguson Showroom in Sioux Falls I was able to see so many of their incredible products in person. As soon as I saw our sink and faucet together, I could immediately imagine them in our space. I can’t wait for it to all come to life!
We’re getting so close to the final stretch of this amazing kitchen renovation project! We’ve waited so long to tackle this part of our home renovation that it still feels like it’s not actually happening. Make sure to stay tuned to Instagram for real-time updates and the final reveal here on Midwest In Style is just weeks away!
We’re so glad you’re following along!
