Some of my favorite people have gotten engaged in the last couple of years and I’ve had a number of girlfriends opt for a destination bachelorette party. I have to admit: I absolutely love it. Traveling with my friends is one of my favorite things to do and you end up with memories {and usually inside jokes 😉 } that will last a lifetime.
Because I’ve had the pleasure of being a part of these travel plans I have also gotten pretty good at packing just the right outfits for the occasion. After my last trip to Austin, Texas, I asked if you’d appreciate seeing my picks. It was a resounding “yes” which I always love. I happen to be heading to another destination bachelorette party so you’ll see what’s in my bag before I even get out of town.
For this post I’m focusing on outfits that are appropriate for the bridal party or the greater bachelorette party guest list. I’ll have to do another post for the bride (which is always fun!)
While I have a number of great options for you below, there are a few things to keep in mind when you’re planning your own bachelorette party looks. First: consider location. This obviously will be a driving factor for your outfits as the climate matters. If it’s a warm location you’re likely to opt for shorts, skirts and/or dresses. If it’s on the cooler side you’ll likely want to turn to your favorite jeans or pants {it would be the perfect time for leather joggers!} but regardless of temps a cute top is a must. I have plenty picked out for you below.
Another consideration: transportation and activities. If there’s a peddle pub involved you’re not going to want to be in a dress or skirt or heels. If there’s going to be a fair amount of walking I would recommend starting your outfit by planning around comfortable shoes. No matter what you have planned for the day I definitely pack a fanny pack or a crossbody bag. Hands free is the way to go when it comes to hauling your wallet, lip gloss and phone.
You’ll notice that I added some travel outfits and activewear. If there’s a hike or morning yoga involved I included leggings and long line tops. These also make for practical plane looks but I included a few additional options for your travel day including my go-to travel tote.
