Blakely’s Nursery & Diaper Genie Expressions Product Review

Funny story to share behind Blakely’s nursery: when we moved into our current home, we knew the third upstairs bedroom would be a nursery. As soon as we closed on the house, we painted a number of rooms including our master bedroom. We went with a grey-ish blue and had quite a bit left over. While I come from a family of three girls, Max (my handsome hubby) comes from a family of four boys and I was convinced I would be a mom of boys. Being “so sure” I would never get a girl, we painted the future nursery blue with the extra paint from our master.

We were sitting in our 20 week ultrasound and as soon as the nurse says, “You’re having a girl!” Max turns to me and says, “Am I going to have to paint that room?” Through my tears of joy, I promised we wouldn’t.

Now, I absolutely LOVE that Miss Blakely has a blue room! Who says girls can’t have blue rooms, huh?!

There are two large windows in her small 10×10 room that bring in so much natural light. Everything about this room is bright and cheery. I’m so happy with how it turned out.

Another essential to any baby room is a Diaper Genie. Your baby’s room could be gorgeous from floor to ceiling but if it smells like diapers… it’s not going to matter. 😉 Diaper Genie sent me this Diaper Genie Expressions pail to test out in Miss B’s room to share my thoughts with you. I have been very pleased with it and it keeps her sweet little room fresh. This Diaper Genie completely eliminates the smell! It also holds up to 50 diapers which is a huge benefit. Once it’s full, it’s also really easy to remove and replace the bag.

It offers five different fabric sleeves that you can choose from to match the decor of your baby’s room! {Pictured below.} I love this concept! I also love that the sleeves are made of stretchy fabric rather than something like plastic because it just looks so much nicer and softer, in my opinion.

Overall, I have loved the Diaper Genie Expressions. It’s definitely done its job and made… even the dirtiest jobs… a little easier. 😉
