Bring Spring

Spring might FINALLY be making a lasting appearance starting this weekend! Midwesterners rejoice!

Last weekend, I spent a good hour or more putting away all ‘signs of winter’ in our house and started putting out all of my spring décor. This may, in fact, be what brought on that random snow event on Monday so my apologies. 😉 Now that I’ve made the décor change, I’m gearing up to break out my spring and summer wardrobe. I know this may sound a little premature as we all know how probable a March (or even April) snow storm can be, but the problem is: I’m in full on nesting mode. It’s started and it’s not going to get any better. In fact, things are just going to escalate from here so bear with me.

One thing that I know for sure: I am ready to break out my spring accessories. I’m talking light & bright bags, scarves, and jewelry. I’ve had enough of my blanket scarves for the year {can you believe I’m saying this?!}, and I’m so excited for pastels and the like.

One new spring accessory that I’m already {constantly} utilizing, is this ClaudiaG Collection cross-body bag. I had mentioned the ClaudiaG Collection in this post earlier this year and I have to say, the colors and styles of her entire spring/summer line are amazing. Since I’m prepping for baby’s arrival in April, I knew I would need a bag that was easy to carry while also juggling the overflowing diaper bag. A cross body bag is a must for ‘hands-free mommy-on-the-go.’ The leather is incredibly durable and is sure to withstand the messes that will come right along with this sweet girl.

As I wait for my due date, I am content wearing boyfriend maternity jeans, a neutral/basic shirt, and comfy {but fun ;)} sneakers. The pop of color I get with this bag is all I need to feel complete.

I’m still planning to use a large portion of this weekend to pull out other spring necessities that have been packed away for months. If I can’t talk myself out of it, maybe I can pretend my closet season change-over will  make the spring weather stick.
