I’m trying to do a better job of showing you how to style pieces a bunch of different ways. I’m likely just like you in that I can’t afford a new outfit for every day of the week. But that’s kind of my favorite part about the art of styling. It’s all about finding new ways to combine your closet favorites.
A couple of weeks ago I shared how to style this cardigan and then the next week I shared how to wear these high-waisted jeans that I’ve been obsessing over. This week it’s about taking those two closet staples to create a whole new look. I even wore the same $20 shoes in all three posts!
The point is you don’t have to have an enormous closet or spend a gajillion dollars in order to be successful in the style department. In fact, the ladies I admire most have a distinct uniform. They revisit pieces over and over again while finding fresh ways to wear them.
When you saw this outfit did you realize that you’ve seen nearly every single piece I’m wearing in this post on the blog before?! The exception is this bodysuit {mine from Gap Factory here & similar here}. I opted for the bodysuit because it stays tucked in and hugs the body to balance out the looser fit of these jeans. If you’re not a bodysuit fan, you could also try this top!
I’m looking forward to sharing some fall content in the coming weeks! I’m hoping you’re all just as excited for the upcoming season as I am. Every summer I think, “I can’t imagine yearning for fall again,” but here I am once again… trying to embrace the last couple of weeks of shorts weather before things take a cool turn.

Love seeing how to wear recycled pieces more than one way and how to transition to the next season!
