Sales are kind of my thing. I think you guys know this by now. But what if I told you that there is a sale designed to not only benefit your closet, but also to benefit an organization geared toward empowering women? A sale that keeps the doors of a non-profit open to provide free development tools for disadvantaged women in our community?
Now that’s a sale worth our attention.
Cue the Sioux Falls Dress For Success Summer Closet Sale. A sale truly made for women by women to support women.
It’s an annual fundraising event for our local chapter of Dress for Success where everyone wins. All funds raised by this sale cover operating costs for this program. This sale allows Dress for Success the means to provide free professional clothing for job interviews and career development tools for women working toward economic independence right in our own community.
Here’s what you need to know about the sale itself: shop at Dress for Success in Sioux Falls on Saturday, July 28th anytime between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. {Insider tip: show up early! They tend to have a line to get in!} You’ll shop hundreds of items all priced between $2 to $10. No that’s not a typo. It’s just magical. 😉
I know because I was able to get a sneak peek at what the Sioux Falls community will have a chance to take part in this weekend. I found SO many great buys it was tough to style just four looks for this preview post!
The other perk to showing up on Saturday is if you make a purchase you receive a bag. That bag is your ticket to the Sunday event, July 29th from noon to four, where you’ll fill it with any items you’d like and you’re going to walk away with that entire bag for just $10. See… magical.
Check out the cute looks I pulled together from the racks you’re going to shop on Saturday!
If you’re not familiar with the Dress for Success mission, you should absolutely visit their website to learn more about this national non-profit that we are so fortunate to have in our own backyard. Their Summer Closet Sale is just one of many ways to get involved and support this wonderful cause.
If you’re unable to attend the sale, I encourage you to donate. Donate clothing, funds, your time; it’s all incredibly valuable to the women in our community who are in need of this resource.
I hope to see you all at the sale on Saturday! I’ll race you to the vintage Coach bag. 😉
