If you’re familiar with my blog or my life outside of Midwest In Style, you’re probably somewhat aware of what I do full-time. After a brief two-year stint in broadcasting, I switched to events and marketing… which I absolutely love.
When I interviewed for my current position, I was asked if I had any questions. As a journalist, it’s rare that I DON’T have a question. 😉 But I will never forget asking, “What is a typical day like?” My two directors looked at each other and said, “Umm… we don’t really have one! No two days are the same!” Apart from getting paid to be creative everyday, this is a huge reason why I love what I do. No two days are the same, and I’m constantly evolving and learning something new.
I help put on a wide variety of events; from casual to formal, we do it all. This weekend we have a more formal fundraising event that is, truthfully, a lot of work, but the event itself is incredibly fun and rewarding.
With this growing baby bump, I owe a huge ‘thank you’ to PinkBlush Maternity / PinkBlush Boutique for outfitting me for this event on Saturday. I am in love with this maxi dress! I know I will be comfortable all night long and (BONUS) it will easily still fit even after this baby has arrived. As I’ve mentioned before, PinkBlush also makes cute dresses for women who aren’t expecting {AND they offer a gorgeous non-maternity version of the dress I’m wearing here!}
I’m so fortunate to have a job that I genuinely have fun doing… AND that allows me to get a little fancy from time to time. 😉
