Embroidered Details

I’m fresh off the vacation boat and it’s been a real rough transition, folks. Can we all just agree that at least during the summer months we will all just work… let’s say… three days a week? That sounds reasonable. I’ll probably be just as productive so it’s fine. Raise your hand if you’re in! Just tell your boss I said it was ok. 😉

But in all seriousness (nope still serious about the three days a week deal), vacation was amazing and it also allowed for a little time to shoot some new looks I’ve put together for the heat!

A summer trend that I’ve been loving is the large embroidered detail. In all honesty, I first saw this executed on denim: think shorts, jeans and denim jackets. I was a skeptic. I appreciated it but thought it wasn’t the best detail to try over the age of 25. What I realized was that there is a way to do this trend as an adult.

I found this tunic top and thought this definitely fit the bill… especially at under $39! It’s a large and beautiful embroidered detail but it’s not obnoxious or difficult to pull off regardless of your generation. Paired with my favorite destroyed girlfriend shorts (LOVE THESE!) and wedges, this outfit is perfect for patio weather with your lady friends or for date night. This look would also work well with flat gladiators like these.
