I’ve written in the past about the value of a closet capsule. Short explanation of a closet capsule for those of you who aren’t familiar: you limit your closet to 37 (ish) pieces for each season. So 37 items for fall, 37 items for winter, etc.
What’s the point? It’s ideal for minimalist living. But what I love about it most is that it challenges you to mix and match the things that you have to create a bunch of different outfits. It forces you to get creative with those core, versatile pieces.
I am tempted to try it this fall, as I’ve never actually attempted to do this myself. So stay tuned to see if I can hold myself accountable to really narrow it down. BUT I’ve done the grunt work to get us started!
It’s pretty likely that you have at least some of these pieces in your closet already. You may not have the exact version I’ve indicated below but there’s bound to be at least something comparable currently living in your wardrobe to get you started.
I’ve put together the key pieces you will need to create that closet capsule for fall. Again – have fun mixing and matching them! I will do a follow-up post with some real-life application of this fall closet capsule in an upcoming post. Who’s up for the challenge?!

I’m in! I just purchased an amazing feather print “Cassie” from my LuLaRoe consultant. I came home tonight & it pulled together amany of my seemingly mis-matched pieces. I might be one who would have more skirts/dresses but I think I could really limit to 37 pieces. This could be fun!
