We were in need of a little fall outfit inspiration that can take us to work. I love styling casual looks for fall but I also love taking autumn tones and textures into the office.
When I think of fall I think of leather, deep browns, animal print, soft knits and structured jackets. This blog post is dedicated to my love for all of those things. While layering is part of the fun that comes with the cool weather creeping in, the fabrics of fall alone get me excited.
Because of our home move I haven’t officially taken my fall and winter closet out of storage. It felt silly to bring all of those items out when I would just have to pack them away again. But I’ve made several fun purchases that have helped take me into this next season with ease.
Both this turtleneck sweater tank and this faux leather skirt are new additions to my cold weather office wardrobe. Both have been rotating in and out of the line-up for my work looks.
This sweater tank can be style in so many ways whether it be layering on top of it with your favorite structured or military jacket, or tucked into skirts and then swapped out for a more casual look by pairing it with jeans.
The color of this skirt {and my not-so-secret obsession with button details} sold me on it as soon as I saw it. I love the length as well! I’ve been on the hunt for a great faux leather skirt but struggled with finding one that was reasonably priced for the amount of wear I’ll get out of it because the reality is it will get put away for spring and summer. Cue this $35 beauty and I have gotten countless compliments on it.
I’ve linked a few additional fall office closet staples that are worth exploring! Happy fall, y’all!
