Sweaters are always going to be a fall staple. What we see change from year to year is the exact style of sweater. Some styles will stand the test of time {think cable knit turtlenecks} and others are meant to weave in some trends.
This fall, I’m embracing some of those trends specifically in the sweater realm.
One thing you’ll notice that isn’t all that different from last year is the cropped style. Cropped pullover sweaters and now also cardigans are going to be hot sellers this season.
Sleeve details like puff sleeves, balloon sleeves, dolman sleeves and textured sleeves will be everywhere you look. I’ve been embracing all of them in part because of how much I adore sweaters overall but also because they’re subtle enough that they’re trends that don’t distract from an otherwise classic look.
I tend to gravitate toward neutral colors but unique, vibrant palettes are also in abundance this fall. I’m balancing my closet with a little bit of each of these so I know I can play around with it all but keep my outfits consistently cozy.
If you’re still working to build out your sweater stack for the cool weather ahead, I’ve rounded up a little bit of each of the trends I’ve mentioned above to get you started. Some of these I’ve added to my own wardrobe while others are definitely on my wish list. I was also paying attention to price point in order to cater to every budget so you’ll find that most of the ones I’ve linked below are under $100!
If you have a favorite sweater trend, share it with me in the comment section below!
