Fashion for the Fourth

You guys… the 4th of July is only a week away. This is craziness. Is the summer going incredibly fast for everyone else?! Why does this always happen?!

Okay let’s slow down and just enjoy the warmth while we have it. I am looking forward to heading up to our lake cabin for the holiday weekend. I can probably count on one hand how many Independence Day weekends I have NOT spent at a lake of sorts. It’s a tradition I hope I never let go of! Another 4th tradition I feel is of the utmost importance is wearing red, white & blue regardless of where I’m celebrating.

As soon as I saw this tee I pulled the trigger and it was on its way to my doorstep. I love that I can style it a bunch of different ways and it won’t always look so “4th of July.”

I can’t even begin to tell you how in love I am with these shorts! The back is elastic so they’re extremely comfortable and the front tie adds a little something fun. This outfit certainly wouldn’t have to be paired with heels. I have also worn it with espadrilles or a sandal.

I am so looking forward to grilling, swimming and just enjoying the holiday weekend with my family. As always, I will be reminding myself that our freedom is never free. I have such gratitude for those who have serve our country. Your sacrifice is never unnoticed or unappreciated. Happy 4th of July everyone! Enjoy celebrating our independence!
