The Five Fall Wardrobe Must-Haves

Fall is right around the corner and I swear we were just excited about finally moving into summer weather but here I am again… looking forward to breaking out my sweaters and jackets. It’s definitely one of the perks of the Midwest: all four seasons. I’m already sending up prayers that our fall season lasts longer than two weeks. 😉

I turn my closet over with each season. I pack away the things that are not suitable for the weather ahead and break out the things that have been packed away. It helps me appreciate the classic pieces I keep from year to year and also gives me an opportunity to reimagine how to style each of them.

I definitely have items that I purge as I swap out the seasonal pieces but there are definitely items that come back over and over again. I also use this closet seasonal update to do an audit of what things I’m missing so I can be more thoughtful when I’m shopping.

Usually the things I add fall in one of two categories: classics I’ll have for years or affordable trends that I won’t be afraid to part with once the trend has come and gone.

 I thought it would be great to share some of each so you can get your own closet ready for the season to come. It will be here before we know it!
