The April weather has been phenomenal thus far and I’m praying it sticks around because I’m fully prepared to move into spring and summer. But is your closet?!
A few weekends ago I spent some time purging my closet, putting away all of the cold weather items and bringing out my favorite pieces for the season ahead. It gave me plenty of time to consider what pieces were my most-worn from the year prior. I can confidently give you a recommendation on the five pieces you should seriously consider adding to your wardrobe as temps continue to rise.
CUT OFF SHORTS
While they’re a little bit of an investment, I wore these shorts more than any other pair I own… two years in a row. Worth it.
ANIMAL PRINT SANDALS
Keep your outfit simple and add some interest with a comfortable sandal. These are affordable and I’m still loving the snake skin trend.
MAXI DRESS
I typically miss dresses so much after the cold of winter that I make up for lost time as soon as spring rolls around. I just bought this one for under $40 and can’t wait to wear it!
LONG-SLEEVE TEE
A basic long-sleeve tee is perfect for pairing with shorts, jeans, a casual skirt or white denim. This one has been a go-to for me for a few years.
CROSSBODY BAG
This is a new piece in my closet and the crossbody style is perfect for the busy schedule brought on by warm weather. The pop of leopard print in the strap is the best addition to the classic leather bag.
