Last Minute Gifts

Can we all agree that last minute gift shopping is just part of the whole holiday experience? Where’s the fun in planning ahead?! A rush to complete the process adds a little drama. I welcome it.

If you’re one of those (like myself) who has left a few straggling gifts to pick up during these final days leading up to Christmas, I’m here to help you out a bit. I’ve partnered with the Empire Mall in Sioux Falls to share an easy, last minute gift guide that includes details on where to find each item in the Empire.

The first is this AH-MAZING sleep shirt I’m wearing above. You guys know how much I love gifting (and receiving 😉 hint hint hubby) pajamas!! This particular sleep shirt is so cozy and comfy. It’s also 50% off at the Empire’s Eddie Bauer which puts it under $30. I found some great pajama options for men that were also on sale. Eddie Bauer has some other grab and go gift ideas like blankets, canteens and socks. Perfect last minute stop.

Department stores are so good about making last minute shopping simple. Gift sets are in abundance and there’s one for everyone on your list. The one that I automatically stopped at was the Flowerbomb fragrance cart. The packaging is gorgeous but beyond that… this is my all-time favorite scent and I honestly have yet to meet someone who hasn’t fallen in love with it. You may think a fragrance set could be a risky gift but Flowerbomb by Victor & Rolf for women and Azzaro Chrome for men are ones that you can’t go wrong with. Both can be found at Macy’s in the Empire.

Another crowd favorite is any gift for the kitchen. I’m not one who likes to cook but even I enjoy kitchen accessories! The Kate Spade kitchen items are so cute and the price points are awesome! I love the bowl set pictured above and all three of the nesting bowls are just $50. The striped utensil crock is only $40. These would be great for sisters or sister-in-laws, moms, new home owners/newlyweds or hosts/hostesses. These Kate Spade kitchen items can also be found in the Empire’s Macy’s. The Kate Spade office items (another awesome gift or stocking stuffer) can be found in Younkers.

We’re just days away from ripping into those gifts. The only thing better than opening your own gifts is knowing that what you’ve purchased for others is something they will love and remember for years to come. Even if you’re not feeling fulling confident about the shopping you’ve already done, there’s still enough time to make a final trip to grab these last minute items which are sure to please.

I will be celebrating Christmas with my family here at home in Sioux Falls this year. An event I’m looking forward to: Carsten’s first theatrical performance. He’s participating in our church’s Christmas program! It’s the beginning of a new era and it’s going to be an overload of cuteness as he takes on the role of “the donkey.” I can’t wait.
