We’re definitely in that weird time frame of the year where it’s cold in the morning but then steamy in the afternoon but your office is still cold but then you’re on fire when you get in your car because you turned the heat all the way up for your morning commute and…. seriously there are so many temperatures to experience and that was the best intentional run-on sentence I’ve ever written. 😉
But for real – I love fall but this crazy move into the season makes dressing for your day really challenging! My favorite tip for winter weather is layer up… and it applies here as well! The transition into autumn is ideal for getting into a layering routine.
You may have heard me jokingly {but not so jokingly} say on my Instastories earlier this year that we need at least seven different types of coats in order to get through a Midwestern winter. You don’t need quite as many to get through fall but now is a great time to get familiar with a couple of styles that are more style focused rather than practicality.
I’m sharing some pieces below that are built for layering now and later, once fall really hits. Pull that jacket, vest or cardigan on in the morning to beat the chill but then slide that bad boy off for happy hour after you’ve left your freezing cold office.
