Oh those summer nights! They’re not all hot and steamy like the ones they’re talking about in Grease. Some of those summer nights can get a little chilly.

I think I speak for most when I say that the chillier evenings are preferred.

Linen is the perfect solution for those cool summer nights. It’s light-weight, breathable, and a closet staple for spring, summer and even early fall. I paired this lovely lavender linen sweater with my favorite white scalloped shorts to keep it casual and comfortable in any summer situation. The soft color makes enough of a statement so I kept it simple and subtle with my gold jewelry, clutch and shoes. It’s also easy to wear a simple tank under this sweater in case you get a little toasty. For a spring or fall evening, pairing a linen sweater with destroyed jeans makes for a simple ‘throw on and go’ look.
