Introducing the most flattering and most comfortable dress I’ve ever owned. {Yes one dress can achieve both things.} And I can promise you one thing: it will be just as flattering and comfortable on you as well.
Dresses during fall and winter are challenging in the Midwest. Yes your legs are typically cold {my personal rule is you have to wear tights if temps are under 65… sometimes 60 if I’m feeling risky} but sometimes sacrifices need to be made.
I realize that the temps have dipped well below 60 at this point but that doesn’t mean you can’t dabble with this dress. In fact, I find layering with this long-sleeved dress actually counteracts the lack of leg coverage. Also: could you wear it with tights? Absolutely!
I regret not photographing this dress without all of the layers just so you could see the way this dress on its own. It’s is made to flatter your mid-section and it’s perfection. That said – I will never regret layering this dress because it’s designed to be layered. While it can stand alone, it’s so much better with layers.
My cardigan is from last season but it has been revamped for this year and it’s arguably better. The price is certainly just as good at under $25! I’m still in love with over-sized scarves and in an effort to stay warm during my brief moments outside during this time of year 😉 I found my scarf to be incredibly necessary with this outfit.
The intent of this look is to give you some outfit inspiration for upcoming holidays, the office or a night out with your favorite people. The best part about this outfit inspiration is that it can be worn by anyone! I have yet to see this dress on someone and not say, “yes, girl!” in response.
Sizing note: I’m in a XS and as you size it up {pun intended} it may seem a little short. But, for reference, I’m 5’8″ so take that into account as you consider this beauty for your closet. However, if I were to order this dress again I would likely order a small specifically for a little more length.
