Neck Tie Detail Shirts

The last couple of years, my favorite detail for fall has been a neck tie. I’m not sure what it is about it but I’m still really diggin’ it.

Perhaps it goes right back to my need to have pieces versatile enough to go between work and weekend. The neck tie detail pieces are always so fun to dress up or down.

With this particular top, I’ve found that I can tie it at the top {as shown here} or I can tie it looser and unbutton the top few buttons to have a v-neck type of approach. I can also leave it untied with a few buttons undone for a much more casual look. I love that I can make this one top have three completely different vibes.

I’ve styled it with these distressed jeans to keep it pretty casual. I chose to tie it at the top to balance the casual look of the jeans.

For work I plan to pair it with work pants or a pencil skirt like this one. I really enjoy the fun pop of color with these shoes so they can truly be worn with any of those combos. However, a loafer like these will be just as cute and add a more masculine feel.
