I have now received most of my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale purchases and the sale event wraps up on August 2nd! I eventually found a few additional items since I last posted about the things that ended up in my shopping cart… so here is the final round up of my NSale buys along with my review of each item. (I apologize for the lower quality photos but I wanted to get this review up for you before the sale was over!)
There’s still time to grab some of these amazing deals! Hopefully this helps answer any questions you had about sizing/style/fit etc. Spoiler alert: I kept everything I purchased! 😉
We all have white button ups in our closets but the material and feel of this one trumps them all. This shirt is so soft! It’s flowy and easy to throw on with jeans and some fun shoes for the perfect grab-and-go outfit. This is very true to size and I am wearing a small.
These are the AG Jeans that I purchased through the sale as well and they are now my favorite pair. The fit is perfect! I don’t have any other AG denim so I was a little concerned about the fit having never purchased them before but they are definitely true to size.
The color of this tunic is the best for fall. This shirt is a true tunic so it will be easy to wear with leggings and boots but it could easily be tucked into a pencil skirt for work. It’s light-weight so it can be worn in early fall but also in cooler weather with a jacket. I was surprised by how long it is but it’s nice that to have the option to wear it as a tunic dress. It runs true to size and I’m wearing a small. If you don’t want as much length I am guessing the x-small would work as well. (Obviously didn’t have time to steam this bad boy… lo siento!)
This cowl neck sweater is incredibly warm and comfortable. I was a little worried that it would be itchy but it’s so soft! I was also surprised by how long this is but, like the tunic, it’s nice to have the option to wear it over leggings for fall. Over-sized sweaters are my favorite so I can promise I will be wearing this non-stop come fall/winter. My only concern is that it will snag easily since the weave is a little loose (which is how it’s supposed to be) so I will just make sure not to wear jewelry that might cause a problem. I’m wearing a small but if you don’t want this to be as long you could easily size down.
Once I had placed my first order from the sale, I kept thinking about this sweater dress so I ended up placing my second order (oops) for this and the cowl neck sweater. SO glad I did! This is so soft and cozy! It will be so easy to throw on with tights and boots for work or play. I try to keep my closet as ‘kid friendly’ as possible and this definitely plays into that requirement. It’s long enough that I won’t be worried about bending over in it and it’s not a giant box like some sweater dresses can be. This also runs true to size and I am wearing a 4 (0-2 US). (Also ignore the legs at the bottom of this photo… my hubby was photobombing.)
Scarf (this one is sold out but similar options still available here and here)
I love blanket scarves so when I saw the price points of the ones on this sale… I couldn’t say ‘no.’ Even though this one is sold out, there are a few great options still available that are very similar. I wear blanket scarves CONSTANTLY during the fall and winter. And yes, I have used them as blankets in my office that can be a freezer at times. So not only is it cute… it’s functional!
Confession time. I placed a third order (yikes) and made these two purchases:
Sperry ‘Saltwater’ Boots // Gold studs
Stay tuned to Instagram (@midwestinstyle) for further info on these items that are still on their way to my doorstep!
I hope this was helpful for those of you who were still on the fence or had questions about some of the items I have posted about for this awesome sale. Please feel free to ask me any further questions you might have about the purchases I have made… I’m happy to help! (And to be an enabler 😉 )
