An old standby that has made a big comeback is pin stripes. It’s one of those patterns that never really goes out of style. It’s always relevant and it’s always classy. But I’ve seen it everywhere lately and it makes me happy.
I remember a jacket my mom wore back in the 90’s that was part of a matching pant suit. I remember thinking, “That’s what you wear to work. That’s what professional looks like.” I still believe it’s part of what ‘professional’ looks like. I’m not exactly sure what it is but something about it says ‘put together.’
I love integrating structured pieces into everyday looks like I did with this outfit. Pairing this longer, masculine jacket with my favorite flares and wedges makes for a proportional/balanced look that can be worn in just about any setting. (Hint: I always wear my flare denim with wedges: it makes your legs look longer 😉 ) I’ve shared this entire outfit for your shopping needs at the bottom of this post.
On a different note: the days are getting shorter and the snow is about to fall. I’m bracing myself because it’s been too good to be true weather in my part world as of late. However, I’m excited to start the holiday season and I will have so many fun holiday related posts coming soon! Let me know if there are specific things you would like to see this year!
