Plaid Cape-Scarf & Destroyed Denim

Fall is all about having fun with layers. I felt like I missed an opportunity last year so of course this season, I had to make up for it. The cape-scarf trend is amazing to achieve an effortless layered look and I’ve officially joined the club.

At under $50, the one I chose is a must-have for cool weather. Not only can it be layered over countless items that are already at home in your closet, but it can also be used as a traditional scarf! It’s truly a two-for-one deal.

My love for all things plaid carried over into this piece. I am really into a cape-scarf with a pattern because it’s ideal for throwing on top of other solid basics.

My destroyed black skinny jeans get a lot of play during fall and winter. I played into my fall color palette with my muted green boyfriend button down shirt but I’ve also worn this cape-scarf with a chambray button down.

If you’re wanting to dress this cape-scarf up a bit, you can make that happen by throwing it on over a fitted dress and some boots. There are so many ways to style this beauty!

This was another look I wore throughout my Seattle exploration. It’s comfortable, casual and as temps climbed throughout the day I removed my cape-scarf and tossed it into my bag. This outfit is also ideal for your travel day style.
