My love for all things light, bright and white is pretty apparent but I recently shared the color palette I’m challenging all of us to try this season and it goes way beyond neutrals.
Those deep, rich tones are the best for fall and winter. I styled some fun jewel tones for a more casual look in an earlier blog post but now it’s time to share some fun outfit inspiration that takes a similar jewel tone to the office or a special occasion.
As if my love for plum/burgundy/magenta wasn’t enough, the pleated skirt trend is back and I cannot even begin to express how many feels I have toward this skirt style. It’s so flattering on so many body types while adding dimension and movement to a look. If you don’t have a pleated skirt for fall and winter yet: IT. IS. A. MUST.
This is yet another example of a look that appears so much more expensive than it is. This sweater is only $18… yep. Enough said. I’ve linked a few other similar versions just in case you need a few more options and all of them are under $30.
A key component of dressing up these more affordable pieces is the higher-end accessories. This bag is from last season but I’ve shared several similar versions below that still implement that classic look that never goes out of style.
As for this bad-a** leather moto jacket: I put off buying it for way too long. It goes with EVERYTHING and adds a little something special to any outfit. I automatically feel cooler when I put it on. 😉 It’s more of an investment piece but I know the price per wear pays off in the long run. This baby will last you a long time.
If you haven’t noticed by now, I wear these pumps with nearly everything. I own this exact pair in no less than five colors because I live by the, “If you love it… buy it twice” (or in my case a dozen 😉 ) moto.
This outfit would be ideal for the office, church or any holiday party! If there’s one thing you take away from this post it’s that you need a pleated skirt. I promise you’ll wear it more than you’d ever expect.
