Some may say spring and summer are the best months to wear a skirt to the office. But I actually prefer wearing skirts to work during cold weather because I love pairing them with tights!
I mentioned last week that my personal rule of thumb is that if temps dip below 65: thou shalt wear tights. This rule actually started back in about 2008 or 2009 when I worked at Coach. Our uniform required tights to be worn with your pencil skirt if temps were below 65 and it’s been law ever since.
There are a few favorite skirt styles for me when it comes to fall and winter office outfits. But regardless of style, my favorite top to pair them all with is a classic turtleneck. Turtlenecks are my JAM! They’re so versatile and are just begging to be layered with jackets, other sweaters, vests etc. etc. etc. etc.
I’m a true believer in stocking up on a basic, soft turtleneck you love… in as many colors as possible. You’ll be surprised how far they take you.
While this outfit is perfect for your work week, this look could be another good one for church, holiday get-togethers or family photos!
