Spring Must-Haves

I can’t tell you how pumped I am about the weather we have been having in SoDak lately. It’s unreal. We NEVER have a beautiful March. It puts me in such a spunky mood… and gets me excited for lake weather! Even though I am over the moon about these record-setting temps and the sunshine, my closet is really unprepared for spring. I have no doubt I will catch up 😉 I have made my top ten spring must-haves for my/your closet. There are so many great pieces to mix, match and layer according to whatever this crazy Midwestern climate requires. (Underlined words are linked so you can click to shop these pieces! I’m an enabler.) Lulu’s Light blue leather vegan jacket I am loving pastels again this spring! This jacket from Lulu’s is so affordable and extremely versatile. Topshop tunic Topshop tunic I had been lusting over this tunic for weeks and I finally gave in. It’s amazing. I paired it with my newest BaubleBar purchase (as pictured above and available here). I am a little too tall/conservative to wear this with leggings but I wouldn’t size up just to get the length because it could get too wide. I wore it over my white jeggings (as pictured above) and it looked really cute/comfortable. The description said “ribbed” and I was a little confused as to what that meant but it has such a great texture. So glad I made this purchase. I had been lusting over this tunic for weeks and I finally gave in. It’s amazing. I paired it with my newest BaubleBar purchase (as pictured above and available here). I am a little too tall/conservative to wear this with leggings but I wouldn’t size up just to get the length because it could get too wide. I wore it over my white jeggings (as pictured above) and it looked really cute/comfortable. Chic Wish midi skirt I have two full skirts similar to this beauty from Chic Wish so when I saw this one I snatched it up quick. These skirts are gorgeous and so incredibly affordable. I love this floral pattern for spring. I plan to pair it with a navy/white striped shirt for an event I have coming up at the end of April. I have to say these do run pretty small. The skirts I have from Chic Wish are smalls and I’m thankful that they have a little elastic in the back (that’s very subtle which I appreciate) because if you eat too much at dinner… you’re doomed. Old Navy Color-block sweater Old Navy is running a sale this weekend (like every other weekend of the year?) and Gap is having their friends and family sale so if there is one thing I want to pick up it’s a light weight sweater that I can throw on over distressed jeans. I’m still digging color blocking and this particular sweater has that great pastel pink that I never get sick of so I am hoping I run across this over the weekend. Loft cropped pants I am on the crop pants bandwagon. They’re the best. I have some in black (these from Loft) and brown (these from The Limited). They work as a great dress pant for work that looks cute with flats OR heels. These coral crops from Loft would be great to dress up any basic shirt for work or to dress down for a fun weekend look. J. Crew Factory jeweled shell top I love this tank for spring because it’s such a perfect laying piece. Throw it under a bright cardigan or over a basic white button up (with those cute coral crops!) and you’re set. I appreciate the jeweled detail as well because it accessorizes the look without having to add a necklace. I will be ordering this in the near future. (If anyone has advice on sizing… let me know!) J. Crew Factory jeweled shell top I love this tank for spring because it’s such a perfect laying piece. Throw it under a bright cardigan or over a basic white button up (with those cute coral crops!) and you’re set. Socialite romper Rompers are adorable. I admit that I have yet to actually try one on so it may not work for me but I couldn’t help but include this little number. I’m also on the lookout for a sleeveless pantsuit/jumper in either navy or black. I have yet to find the perfect one. Stay tuned. Socialite romper Rompers are adorable. Once again the long sleeves make it an easy choice for spring and a good transition piece for going into summer. I will be ordering this to pair with sandals & fedora or sunhat. Free People tank I just ordered this today (it’s back-ordered until the end of March which is a bummer) but it’s going to be a perfect closet staple. I love how it’s styled above with a fun necklace and boyfriend jeans. It comes in a number of colors but I chose the basic white. This would look really cute under the Lulu jacket that I had linked above! We are expecting gorgeous weather over the weekend so I can’t wait to get outside and soak up some of that much needed Vitamin D!
