At least once a year I come across a piece for my closet that I sit and ponder for months. I’m not even kidding. Months. And it takes me a long time to really sell myself on it because I love bargains so splurging on items isn’t something I do often. I’m only willing to spend over $100 on things that I know will stand the test of time.
This year the one thing that took me a while to pull the trigger on was this suede jacket. The price point isn’t crazy at $188 but it was enough that even though it was love at first sight, I had to really consider: would I get a lot of wear out of it? Was it exactly the right suede jacket in color and structure to fit into my closet so it would be versatile? Would the fabric hold up?
Well the photo above is a bit of a spoiler 😉 but when I saw this jacket in person on one of my adorable co-workers, I had to have it. This is for sure my favorite purchase of the year.
There are SO many ways to wear this beauty. The look I’ve put together for this post is great for date night, drinks with the ladies or a casual Friday at work. But what I cannot WAIT to do is style it with a maxi dress for spring and summer! In fact, on my quick trip to Minneapolis this weekend that is the one thing I’ve tasked myself with finding – the perfect floral maxi dress to wear with my new favorite jacket.
Now that I’ve thoroughly gushed about this jacket {can you tell I’m obsessed?!}, I have to tell you that this top is SO gorgeous. I tried it on during one of the recent try-on sessions I did over on my Instagram Stories and the color was too good to pass up. The fabric is super static-y right now {which does nothing for my hair ;)} but once the weather warms up this top is going to be perfect for work or weekend.
