Summer Denim

Last week we talked at length about those summer staples such as shorts and swimwear. But I consider a versatile pair of jeans just as important. You know those summer nights that cool off just enough that you need to cover those sun kissed legs? Those are some of the best.

There’s a brand that has made a huge comeback and it’s hitting a sweet spot for me. I’m pretty sure it will for you as well. Not only are their price points unbeatable {jeans are as low as $40!}, but their styles are classic and made to be paired with anything you’re already loving in your closet.

If you haven’t guessed it by now, it’s Levi. Those 80’s and 90’s denim trends are back and I’m all for it. I’ve snagged a couple of signature fits from them recently and they truly don’t disappoint.

The two I keep revisiting over and over again are my 721 high rise skinnies {that I’m wearing here} and my 501 high waist skinny jeans. A little fit tip on both of these: for a tight fit size one size down since they give as you wear them. For a looser fit go with your normal size. I did this with my 501’s and they fit a little baggy like a girlfriend style jean which I like.

I find pairing a super skinny jean with an off the shoulder top gives a hint of sexy without being immodest. This look is perfect for an evening patio session or a casual night around a friend’s fire pit.

I know you’re all shocked to see me in blue and white {it’s gingham so at least it’s not stripes again 😉 }, but I have linked several adorable off-the-shoulder shirts in addition to one very similar to the one I’m sporting for this post.
