Shop the Look: Shirt (mine is old but similar here & here) // Asymmetrical Skirt (mine is sold out but similar here, here & here) // d’Orsay Flats (similar here & here) // Watch (similar here) // Sunnies (similar here & here)
Is there still time to squeeze in a little asymmetrical mini action? Yep! Just enough time.
Found this gem on the sale rack in Banana Republic and between the texture and the asymmetrical shape, I couldn’t walk away. This skirt was a few sizes too big but, because it was so on sale, I could justify bringing this piece to my tailor. Now: she fits like a glove.
Asymmetrical skirts add so much dimension to an outfit. The wrap affect is so eye-catching and creates so much outfit interest all on its own. I tied my favorite boyfriend button up and threw on these d’Orsay flats (that have been on hard repeat for me) to give it a more casual look. I have worn this skirt with heels as well which is nice to dress it up a bit but I feel much more comfortable in these easy flats.
There are some amazing asymmetrical skirts that are great for the fall transition (check out the links above!) Even minis can be fall appropriate by pairing them with a cozy sweater or layered with a jacket. I’ll be doing my best to hang on to warm weather pieces while the temps continue to drop. I’m not quite ready to let go of summer staples. What are some of your summer closet stand-bys that you aren’t quite ready to put away?!
