Turtleneck, mock neck, tunic, cropped, wool, cotton…. you name it. If it’s a sweater: I want it.
A cozy sweater is the perfect stand alone piece for fall and winter. {Maybe not literally stand alone because then you’re not wearing pants 😉 … but you know what I’m sayin’.} At the same time, what other item is more fun to layer than a sweater?
Confession about the sweaters in my closet: there are only a few that I keep from year to year. This is because sweaters wear out if you love them as much as I do. So I tend to purchase fresh ones annually.
Because I’m buying new every year, I don’t see sweaters (unless they’re cashmere and I am guaranteed to dry clean them) as an investment piece. I am a huge advocate for investing in items that will last but sweaters don’t necessarily fit in this category, at least for me.
Luckily, there are SO many great, budget friendly sweaters out there that are sure to be heavily rotated this season. I’ve found several amazing sweaters under $70 to keep you on budget and keep you cozy! I’ve also shared some outfit inspiration with you showing off some recent sweater purchases along with some of the pieces I’ve been styling them with. Happy *almost* weekend!
