Timeless Sweaters

Last week here on Midwest In Style, I talked about my curiosity for a fall closet capsule. I’ve been putting myself to the test this week and so far I’m loving it. It’s a fun personal challenge and along the way I’ve had several other readers reach out who are trying it with me! Go team!

As I’ve narrowed the playing field in my wardrobe I’ve started to appreciate some of those pieces that are true classics. The best/challenging part comes in styling them in a completely different way. One of those classics is a basic cream sweater.

This cozy piece will stand the test of time, but paired with a unique shoe (cue these bad boys that I’m dying over!) and a slight pop of color with the handbag – you’ve got yourself a killer, yet timeless, look for everyday.

I wore this look a couple of weeks ago to the office as business casual. I was so comfortable and it was perfect to wear out to a coffee date with one of my gal pals afterwards.
