I promised the ‘part two’ to the ‘transitional pieces part one’ and here it is! Better late than never. 😉
In the first part of the fall transition post, I talked about how much I adore these pants! In that post I also talked about using color to ease into fall. This part two was necessary to show how a simple shirt and shoe change can make all of the difference to take the look to autumn.
When the temps drop, pairing these pants with my favorite stripe long-sleeve tee is my go-to outfit. This look can go just about anywhere.
I’ve also talked in the past about how we often forget that your pant can be the ‘star of the show.’ Keep it simple on top and try bringing in a pop of color on your lower half! Hopefully this will get your gears turning for some cozy, fall outfit inspiration.

Brief life update: If you follow me on Snapchat you know that I left my job as an events & marketing specialist to take on a new role as a marketing advisor for a large healthcare system. While I will miss the amazing team at my previous position, I’m so excited for this next step in my marketing career! I’m only a week and a half in so things are going crazy while I’m on-boarding but I am learning a ton and getting into the new routine. So if I seem a little behind on things (ahem… this post I’ve been promising for quite some time… sorry all!) this is why.
Brief kiddos update: Blakely is now 5 month old {what?!} and we are trying to work on a better sleep schedule. Yep. Pray for this mama… it’s a work in progress. But she is SO sweet and overall is an incredibly easy baby. We love her to pieces. Carsten is such a loving and sweet big brother but is still busy being… well… a boy! He will be four in November {what?!} so it comes with the territory. We’ve been busy as a family visiting the Omaha Zoo a couple of weeks ago, starting Sunday school for Carsten and exploring our city in a variety of different ways (live music in the park, apple orchard, etc.). If you want to follow along on our adventures I try to capture it all on Snapchat as much as possible so feel free to join us there! Just search for my username: midwestinstyle
I hope you’re all enjoying the last of the warm weather and gearing up for the true fall chill! Hugs from Sioux Falls!
