I have cried at nearly every wedding I’ve ever been to with the exception of my own (which I attribute to my dad quietly singing ‘Dude Looks Like A Lady’ as he walked me down the aisle… which I made him do so I wouldn’t ball my eyes out 😉 ). Despite the tears, I love weddings and the outfit planning that goes with it.
The key to the perfect wedding guest dress is comfort (you’ve gotta be able to dance in that baby) and weather appropriateness. I also like to make sure it’s a dress I can re-purpose for work or other events so it doesn’t get worn once and then forgotten about forever.
I purchased this animal print swing dress a couple of months ago and I have been patiently waiting for wedding season to get it out of my closet. I love the short sleeves and the print makes a statement without a lot of jewelry. These navy heels might very well be my favorite part of this whole look. Paired with the black and white animal print it’s a little unexpected and adds just enough pop of color.
Whether you have one wedding or if nuptials are filling up your summer, I’ve found some great options for your upcoming special occasions. Here are a few of my favorite wedding-season dresses:
In proper wedding toast fashion: May your dress be cute and your date be cuter. 😉
Cheers!
