Winter Date Night Outfit

We’re still a number of months away from “normal” date nights but I can help you get your closet ready in the meantime. 😉

The best part: all of these pieces are included in my winter closet capsule. In case you haven’t checked out the most recent close capsule, I think you’ll really enjoy it! This outfit is one of those that comes from that concept. Your closet can truly function in a “less is more” type of way.

This look isn’t ground-breaking by any means but it hits all of the winter date night must-haves for me. It’s warm without requiring a huge winter coat. It incorporates a couple of textures. It can also be swapped out to incorporate more practical shoes than these heels {as much as I love them, boots would probably be easier for navigating snow}.

I love exploring trends as much as the next girl but when it comes to Midwestern winters, there’s definitely careful attention that must be paid to practicality.

This leather moto jacket has been in my closet for a few years and it’s the best for layering with sweaters in the fall and winter, and with more light-weight pieces in the spring and summer. If you take nothing else from this post, I hope you consider grabbing this leather jacket.
