Winter can be a really fun time of year to wear some sparkle and layer some dresses {so you don’t freeze your little buns off!} I actually prefer dressing up during the colder months because I love layering each look to create a different outfit each time around.
I’ve teamed up with The Empire Mall to share some work and holiday appropriate winter outfits to inspire your lady-like look that can take you from the office, to church, to a holiday gathering with ease.
I found this amazing plaid shirt-dress by Tommy Hilfiger at Macy’s in The Empire and it literally stopped me in my tracks; it’s absolutely perfect for any winter occasion. And when I talk about layering to create new looks, I’m mean taking how I’ve styled it here {with boots and tights} and just adding on those layers. Add a cardigan, a scarf, a coat, a hat… just keep adding! It looks different as you add each but you never change the core of the outfit.
I’ve already worn this to work and church, and I’m planning on wearing it for a family get-together over the holiday weekend.
I always head to the Loft in The Empire Mall to find work wear and this next look is the perfect cold-weather, office-friendly outfit. Who doesn’t want a pair of work pants that add a little sparkle?! And this sweater is so cozy while also balancing out the glitz you get from the bottom half. Throw on a basic black pump, some layered bracelets and you’re set.
Best part: it’s all found in one place – right inside Loft.
The third look I put together features Banana Republic: another known staple in the mall that’s sure to please with work-friendly pieces.
I chose this plaid number {can you tell I’m into plaid in the winter… or just in general} because I can just imagine the possibilities with this one. I put this faux fur scarf with it so you can see how I would dress is up for the holidays. But this structured beauty would be ideal for the office if you pair it with a blazer.
Then also consider how cute it would look if you threw a cardigan or even a crew neck sweater over it. This dress would be ideal for bringing on a business trip because it can be paired with so many things.
Cold weather adds a whole other level of difficulty to dressing yourself as a professional but having access to so many stores within such close proximity of each other in The Empire Mall makes it so convenient to keep your closet ready for any winter weather occasion; even if that occasion is just trying to get through the day at your freezing cold office. 😉
